About Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha
Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha (JSKS), is a non-profit making, voluntary organization registered under registered under the Rajasthan Society’s Registration Act 1958 (Under Section 28). The organization is the social wing of the Catholic Diocese of Jaipur. It is dedicated to the development of disadvantaged groups without any discrimination of caste and creed.

A just and humane society where dignity of all human being is upheld and the kingdom values are maintained.
Mission
To empower the people especially the poor and the marginalized through conscientization process in order to establish a just and humane society.
Goal
To create a healthy, educated and self reliant society having all the opportunities for development with human dignity and self-respect whereby a just and peaceful society, free from all discrimination could be formed.
Strategic Approach
Every action of social development taken up by JSKS ensures community participation at every level of planning – implementation & monitoring. Active participation of community is essential for the holistic and sustainable development. Community participation encourages the stake holders’ influence and control over development initiatives and the decisions that affect them. History of the Organization
Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha (JSKS), the social service unit of Jaipur Catholic Diocesan Social Work Centre is a voluntary organization which was established in the year 2006. It was inspired by Most Rev. Bishop Oswald Lewis, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Jaipur and group of Priests who shared a common vision and dream that motivated them to come together and work on a people-centric model of development. It is registered under the Rajasthan Society’s Registration Act 1958 (Under Section 28). JSKS covered 12 districts of the state of Rajasthan. Since 2006 JSKS has been working towards empowerment of the marginalized sections of the society especially children, adolescent boys and girls, women and marginal farmers through a continuous process of awareness, conscientization, advocacy and collective actions for improving their educational, health and economic status. It upholds the culture, strengthens the integrity of a community based on the values of Truth, Justice, Freedom, Equality in which basic human rights where power, resources and the fruits of development are shared by all. Projects that JSKS undertaken in last three years and completed successfully were Ankur, Adhikar, Micro project for skill training for adolescent girls, Sakhi, Organization Structural Development, SHG formations, Shakti.
Infrastructure and Facilities Available
Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha has set its registered office in Bishops House, Ghat Gate, Jaipur and a permanent working office in Dausa, Lalsot Road in Dausa District. It has got a large infrastructure providing enough space for training programs. There are many rooms with residential facilities that are required for any kind of training. Also, there are training halls with enough training equipments and furnitures. Other than this, the Office has got computers and other necessary items for the effective and systematic functioning of the office. Thus, the center provides all facilities that enable effective functioning and communication to the staff and the persons concerned.
Areas of Intervention
It initially focused on issues related to several development sectors. Its operational area is limited in 12 districts of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Nagaur, Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Alwar and Dausa.
Till date JSKS has undertaken different projects in 3 districts namely Dausa, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur. It has implemented various projects and covered 75 villages. All these project activities have been focussed on various themes such as health services, education, sustainable livelihood, gender roles, relief and rehabilitation services and vocational skill trainings.
The target groups have been small and marginal farmers, men and women belonging to SC, ST and OBC category, pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls and boys, children (0-6 yrs), differently-abled children and slum children.
Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha seeks to bridge affluent-resourceless divide in urban and rural Rajasthan. In its short existence, it has indulged in developmental activities at the grass-root level and made a significant contribution for the well being of the community that it works with.
