A. Networking Meeting for Coordination with Teachers and Community based workers:
Coordination Meeting was conducted on 20th March 2018 at Govt. Seniour Secondary School Bhateri Village. The CBW’s were reminded about their individual roles & responsbilities towards a wholistic development of Adolescent Girls. 18 Community workers were presented in it.
B. Sensitization of boys towards gender injustice and violence against girls
Gender distinction (biological and psychotically:
This programme which was held on 10th January 2018 at Govt. Senior Secondary School at Bhateri Village. Sakhi project coordinator addressed the detailed on physical, mental and emotional changes that take place during the adolescent age. They also emphasized on moral values and the need for more concentration on their studies. They also highlighted on gender biasness showing it to be a curse in the community. Mr. Rajendra Sharma explained on the Gender and Sex Education Ratio in Rajasthan. He motivated the adolescent boys to change their attitude and behavior towards the adolescent girls and to create a gender balanced atmosphere at home and the society at large. 40 Adolescent Boys were present.
C. Legal literacy and advocacy campaign, ‘ME and My Friend” for AGs
The workshops was conducted on 27 march at JSKS Training Hall . Around 29 Adolescent girls actively took part in this workshops. The resource peresom was given the brief introduction on RT.I and Shown Video Song “ Janne ka Hak” and Documentary on RTI. The Adolescent girl’s practical session for filing FIR and RTI was done in a systematic way. They presented their group work of filing RTI. The Adolescent girls obtained knowledge and information of RTI. The workshop was very informative and it benefited the participants to a great extent. Around 29 Adolescent girls actively took part in this workshops.
Output- the Adolescent Girls gained knowledge on RTI. Right.
D) Capacity building of Adolescents and raising livelihood options
Beautician course:
The inauguration of a beautician course was held on 15 February 2018 at Patan village. Mr. Rajendra Sharma, the coordinator of Sakhi Project explained on the importance of beauty which includes grooming. A total of 20 adolescent girls participated in that course. This training is run 4 hours a day in 45 days.
Output -20 Adolescent Girls had successfully completed the Beautician Course
E) Sex education (knowing our body, menstrual system and hygiene)
This session was held on 7th February at Govt.Senior secondary school Badwa. There were around 41 adolescent girls who participated in the program. Sakhi project animator explained about the physical changes of adolescent girl. Girls received knowledge about the changes that occurs physically, nutrition and balanced diet, importance of using sanitary pad and overall hygiene.
