FROM APRIL TO JUNE CONDUCTED ACTIVITIES 2018

1. Exposure visit for AGs to explore their knowledge

Police station

The exposure visit conducted two places i.e. police station and UCO bank on 15th May with adolescence girls to explore their knowledge. Total of 40 AGs were participated in this programme. The programme started with the introduction of each members and followed by the explanation of help line (100 and 1098) and FIR (First Information Report) by Mrs. Bharati Meena (ASI of the police). She addressed about cases such as (child labour, child abuse dowarydeaths etc.) which are against women and girls.

UCO Bank

Girls are very enthusiastically participated to learn about the bank. Mr. Randhan Meena (Branch Manager) of UCO bank explained about the opening the account and was followed by deposit and withdrawal. He added further about how to take money from ATM (Any Time Money) he showed this with practical.

2. Health exhibition on world health day

Rally programme

The rally programme was conducted in Laxmipura village by school children. 80 children very eagerly participated in the rally programme. Sakhi project coordinator enlightened the people about the importance of the health. The placards were used in the rally to give importance of health and the children said the slogan with great enthusiasm.

Health exhibition

Health exhibition was conducted at jeevandhara samaj kalyan sanstha, Dausa. Total participated were 40 girls in the programme. Participation were divided into five groups and were given different topics on health. They have to prepare the chat according to their topics. The presentation were placed before the children through projector on Government schemes so that they may understand what are the schemes available in the Health department such a Apki Beti yojana, Balika Samridhi Yojana, Kishori Sabla yojana, and Grgi Purskar Yojana etc.

3. Kitchen Garden

The kitchen garden programme started in 10 target villages in the month of June. This programme started given the motivational session to the girls and explained about the importance and usefulness of the kitchen garden.

In the target villages 10 vegetable Seeds Kits were given to 10 Adolescent girl’s .Vegetable seeds are as follows: Tomato’s, Brinjal,Gourd,Green Chilli,Chowlai,Tinda,Palak,Spinach and Coriander.After completion session selected proper place for the programme. The following steps were followed:

  • Prepared the land by digging and removing all stones.
  • Put the manure on the prepared land.
  • Sowing the seeds.
  • Watering
  • Put the fence to prevent the plants from animals.
