Empowerment and Skill Development Program for the Youth
Professional oriented skill training programmes are conducted apart from the development training programmes for the school dropout youth. The following skill training programmes were organized under different programmes.
- Tailoring classes were conducted for 150 girls in 8 village of Bassi Block.
- Beautician training was conducted for 20 Girls in Manpuria village.
- Artificial jewelry training was conducted for 20 girls.
Motivation and mobilization of parents and the community at large, helped in freeing the girls from household and field work, leading them to regular attendance and active participation for the vocational training programme conducted. Trained and experienced staff was appointed to train them in Beauty culture, Jewelry making, Tailoring etc. The project has made a good impact in the village and the trainees appreciated the training and few of them already started earning from the trade they have learned. A close supervision was done at each centre especially with regard to attendance register, syllabus and other related activities of the trade.
