“Fantastic Line by Mother Teresa: If your eyes are positive, you will Love the world. But if your Tongue is Positive, The world will Love you “A woman’s love is in action. She looks with her heart and feels with her eyes. A woman is the bank where her family deposits all anger, worries and hurt. A woman is the cement that keeps her family together and her love lasts life time. The day is observed globally every year on 8th March to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Also, it is an action for accelerating gender parity. Purple is the color that symbolizes women internationally. The combination of the purple, green and white color is to symbolize the equality of women which is originated from the women’s Social and Political Union in the UK in 1908.
On 8th March, is considered as International women’s day. The purpose of celebrating women’s day is – To raise awareness about the status and dignity of women in the society. This day brings many things for women – a cause for celebration, a reason to pause and re-evaluate a remembrance, an inspiration and a time to honor, loved and admired. To honor the womanhood, Jeevandhara and Reliance foundation together celebrated women’s day, in Sarupura village belonging to Koliwada Panchayat. 500 women were participated in the program to show their togetherness for the change of the society.
The Programme was inaugurated by lightning of the lamp followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Santhosh Sharma. For the event, Chief Guest was District council member Mr. Jagadish Sharma, and Guest of honor was Mrs. Shalini Bhadoriya (Advocate- Jaipur High Court) along with her Mr. Lal Bahadur (Team leader of Reliance Foundation), Fr. Lakwin Fernando (Director of JSKS), Sr. Benitta Fslg (Women Coordinator) and the staff of JSKS were presented for the Programme. During the event Mr. Jagadish Sharma appreciated the Sheetal Women’s group for their active participation for the women empowerment. On the same occasion the guest of honor advocate Shalini shared her tales of struggles, and success. This shows that how she had overcome all the obstacles with her great effort and will power. She encouraged the women to have self-confident and will power to overcome all the struggles of their lives and she narrated the lives of great women personalities who became an inspiration for other women. Further, she said gender equality is very important for a healthy society. Fr. Lakwin addressed that it was the time to uphold the women’s achievements, recognize challenges, and struggles, and focus greater attention on women’s growth, rights and gender equality to mobilize all the people to do well. Mr. Lal Bahadur graced the occasion by addressing the women and girls that they should celebrate everyday as a women’s day. Cultural programs added colors to women’s day celebration. Small gifts were distributed to all the women by Reliance foundation. The sheetal mahila munch had given saris to 20 vulnerable women in the villages. All people appreciated our Organization who always ready to do anything for the women to bring some changes in their lives through lots of programme. The program successfully concluded with the National Anthem.
