The Project titled as “Community Development” in 18villages of Bassi block was supported and financed by Manos Unidas, Spain has made good impact in all the target areas. The project started in the year 2008. The goal of the project was the target people of Bassi block become knowledgeable and confident in carrying out the welfare and development programmes and in the process become self reliant and self sufficient. Various programmes were conducted during the project period for the women, youth and children in the target areas. Conducted several awareness programmes on various aspect of development, Promoted literacy among the women by conducting non-formal education, conducted Balwadi Classes for children etc. Various training programmes were also conducted for the project personnel, Balwadi teachers, SHG leaders, Mahila Mandal leaders etc.
