Pahal Project organized a training programme on 17 November 2019 at Andhi Up Tehsil for Adolescent girls from 5 different villages i.e. Dangarwara, Ramjipura, Bhagwanpura, Jharunda and Jamuwaghat.
Total 60 girls were present for the training. The training was mainly base on balanced food habit, health and hygiene. The participatory methodology was used in the training programme to bring more clarity among the girls.
Mr. Rajendra Sharma and his two staff Bindu Ji and Indira Ji were the resource person for the training programme.
The training was started with an introduction session and followed by small ice braking game to attract the attention and make them feel comfortable for the training session so that they can ask and share their problems.
Resource person Bindu ji gave her session on adolescent health and hygiene, menstrual cycle why it is important and how it happen in a girl’s body and use of sanitary napkins. Also some exercise was demonstrated for period pain.
After that resource person Rajendra Sharma took up the next session which was on balanced food habit and nutrition. He discussed about the food habit of girls in their home and explained about the nutrias food which is easily available in their house and local market. After that he conducted a group activity named “FOOD and FLAG” where girls had to write and present the names of foods according to three colors of Indian Flag. Also he encourage girls for organic kitchen garden farming for healthy and fresh vegetables, So that girls can get ride from anemia and other diseases.
After that a recreational activity was conducted for the girls to make the programme more interesting so that girls could motivated for the upcoming programmes.
After that vote of thanks was given by project coordinator Nilakshi and a group photo session was conducted.
