Children are the future of our country but girls are the most vulnerable part of our society and they need to be built stong so keeping that in our mind on 22 November 2019 Pahal organized a training programme on Leadership and Team Building for Adolescent girls at Andhi Up Tehsil. There were total 64 girls from Raipur, Saipur, Jamuwghat, Nabhabala and Ramyanwala Village.
The training was mainly to bring out the leadership quality of girls and team building so that they can be a successful, strong, confident and productive human being in future.
Sr. Pauline and Mr. Shivcharan Sharma were the resource person for the training programme. The participatory methodology was used in the training programme to bring more clarity and confident level among the girls so that they can communicate without any hesitation.
The training started with a prayer song and followed by an introduction session by project coordinator Nilakshi Boro.
Sr. Pauline started the session with the topic of who is a leader and the Quality of a leader. She explained the topic in a very simple way so that girls can understand it nicely also Sister involved the girls in the session by asking them questions and let them explain. At first girls were very shy and nervous but slowly they started to participate in the conversation.
After that a recreational game was played related to the topic so that girls can give more attention in the session.
After that Shivcharan Sharma took the next session on positive and negative thinking. He took a half full glass of water and asked girls if it’s half full or half empty to get the idea about girls thinking. After that he explained about the problems in our life and with positivity and focusing on solution how we can deal with all the problems and live a healthy life.
Sister started her next session on types of leader. She explained all the three types of leader i.e.
1. Autocratic leader, 2. Timid leader (passive), 3. Professional Leader. Or democratic leader.
After that sister divided girls into three groups and asked girls to choose one leader from each groups and gave them the role of the 3 type’s leaders. Each group demonstrated the given characteristic of leaders. This activity is very much helpful for the girls to understand the type of leaders and quality of the leader and it’s brings more clarity for them to choose and become a good leader.
After finishing the training vote of thanks was given by project coordinator Nilakshi. A group photo session was conducted and after that packet lunch was provided for the girls.
