Sakhi Project is working in 12 villages of Bassi Block under under Jaipur District of Rajasthan. The main concern is to bring about a significant change in the lives of the adolescent girls. The project addresses the status of adolescent girls with regard to their education, health, life-coping skills, gender equality, knowledge and understanding of existing laws, property rights to name a few.

Flexible and Innovative Training Modules & Materials for the Demonstration of Adolescent Girls
Establishment of information and counselling centre for adolescent girls
Upgrading the health status of AGs through “Swastha Sakhi” programme
Raising their livelihood options through advance computer and stitching training
Continuous Community Mobilization through IEC and BCC training programmes
Since its inception Sakhi project has brought a lot of changes in the lives of adolescent girls living in the target areas. It has helped them to know about their rights and demand them from the concerned government departments. The project also has made significant changes through formation of Kishori Groups under which a lot of activities have been successfully implemented such as Swastha Kishori Shivir, food and flag, property rights, health and hygiene, sanitation, kitchen garden and many more. Thus, this project strives to improve the living standard of adolescent girls by involving them in productive activities.
The project will enable the girls to be economically self reliant through skill training programme. Their improved educational status will enable them to enjoy better living standard and improved social status. A healthy generation and safe motherhood will be ensured through health programmes. The project will also enable them to take better participation in social activities and decision making
