Employees are a key determinant of an organization’s success and are often the “face” of the organization to beneficiaries, stakeholders and the community. Building the capacity of new and current staff is an essential part of programme implementation. Basic training for all the staff should cover guiding principles, goals and activities of the organization, rights, laws, expected behaviour at office, issues related to the on-going projects.
Community Mobilization
Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha had conducted a 2 day workshop on ‘Community Mobilization’ for the staff members. In this workshop the staffs learnt about proper team work and coordination, develop the ability to identify and understand our own strengths and weaknesses. Once we are able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization in which we work then we can organize ourselves in a systematic way.
The other highlights of the workshop were social mobilization, beneficiary, community mobilization and government mobilization, methods to identify and implement in solving different issues, difference between society and community, steps to carry out mobilization, stakeholder identification, attitude, behaviour and skills.
Child Protection Policy
To address the issue of child rights and child abuse Jeevandhara Samaj Kalyan Sanstha had organized a 4 day workshop on ‘Child Protection Policy’. In this workshop the staffs got the opportunity to be a part of making a child policy for their own organization. All the activities initiated in the workshop were linked with child rights.
