One of our target villages namely, Khuntla under Gangapur Block is located 16kms away from the city. In that village we formed SHG and FC groups. We were regularly giving them awareness through campaigns, street plays and held meetings on sanitation and governmental entitlements. After gaining handy knowledge they 
used to participate in the gram Sabah meetings. In this village they have severe sanitation as well as water problem. Since they have severe sanitation problem people are getting so many diseases. So the Ankur team constantly motivated them through regular SHG and FC meetings. Since they are not getting good response the people of the village lost their hope and hesitant to take the new alternatives. But the Ankur team persistently motivated them stick on the issue. Also we said that last month the Daulatpur women’s group went to SDM office to give the application on sanitation and water problem.
So with this encouragement and as a result of the SHG, FC and some community people got ready to give application to SDM. Around 52people went to SDM office on 5th of February. He received the application and immediately that application sent to BDO through his secretary. Also he made a call to BDO to take action for the problem and told the people to go to BDO office. So the people went to BDO office he received the written application of MGNREGA as well as the application which was send through the secretary of SDM. He said that he will take action also promised to participate in the February Gram Sabha meeting also said that I will inform to the related secretary to give work in the MGNREGA. Just after three days of submitting the application secretary and Sarpanch went and met the people and promised to give work in the MGNREGA as well as the construction of canal works. Now around 131 people are working in MGNREGA and also started the construction of canal works. They thanked for the constant guidance of Ankur team.
